Abstract

Purpose. The purpose of the study is to test methodological approaches to adaptive management of the development of agri-food enterprises.

Results. The study analyses the key factors in the activities of agricultural enterprises at the national (Ukraine) and regional (Poltava region) levels. Fluctuations in indicators were identified, which indicates the complexity of the functioning of these enterprises. Using correlation and regression analysis, the main factors influencing the performance indicators and the closeness of the relationships between them are identified, and the degree of influence of adaptability factors on performance is assessed. Models of the dependence of profitability and profit on adaptability factors were constructed, and the quality of the models was analysed. The results confirm that adaptation is a necessity for modern enterprises. Adaptive management is an important factor of stability and development in a dynamic environment. The analysis creates a basis for modelling production situations. The obtained results can serve as the basis for developing practical recommendations to improve the effectiveness of adaptive management.

Scientific novelty. The novelty of the study lies in the comprehensive approach to adaptive management of the development of agri-food enterprises, combining theory, statistical analysis and econometric modelling. For the first time, a system of tools has been proposed, including balance, regulatory, economic and statistical and graphical methods. The mathematical and formulaic description of factors influencing adaptability has been improved, which allows us to quantitatively assess their impact. Based on many years of statistical information, using econometric modelling, a comprehensive assessment and forecasting of adaptability factors and their impact on performance was carried out.

Practical value. The results of the study can be used to: improve adaptive management from the state to the level of an individual enterprise; increase the efficiency of agri-food enterprises by identifying adaptability factors and developing adaptation strategies; improve the investment climate by substantiating recommendations for attracting investments and increasing competitiveness; ensure sustainable development by contributing to solving the problems of food security and sustainable development of agricultural production; use in the educational process for training specialists and improving the skills of workers in the agro-industrial complex. In general, the study is aimed at increasing the efficiency and competitiveness of the agri-food sector through adaptive management.
