Methodological approaches to the development of human resources in the management system of agri-food enterprises

Abstract

Purpose. The purpose of the study is to test methodological approaches to the development of human resources in the management system of agri-food enterprises.

Results. The results of the study confirm significant changes in the human resource potential of Ukrainian agri-food enterprises, in particular, a reduction in the number of employees and enterprises. Despite the decrease in the number of agricultural enterprises and employed workers, there is an increase in labor productivity and profitability, which indicates technological improvement and modernisation of production. The assessment of personnel turnover demonstrates an excess of the level of dismissal over the level of hiring, which is explained by the seasonality of work, the complexity of working conditions and recent socio-economic circumstances. The analysis revealed a negative trend in the reduction of the average number of full-time employees, which may affect the stability of human resource potential in the future. The use of econometric methods made it possible to identify the main factors influencing human resource potential and develop forecasts for its further development.

Scientific novelty. The novelty of the study lies in the improvement of theoretical and methodological approaches to assessing the human resource potential of agri-food enterprises, taking into account modern socio-economic challenges. New approaches to analysing the impact of technological changes and modernisation of production on the dynamics of the number of employees and productivity of labor have been proposed. The methodology for forecasting human resource potential using econometric models has been improved, which allows for more accurate determination of key influencing factors. The theoretical principles of research on human resource movement have been expanded, taking into account the peculiarities of seasonality, migration processes and changes in the employment structure.

Practical value. The practical value of the study lies in the possibility of applying the developed methodological approaches to assess and forecast the human resource potential of agri-food enterprises. The proposed approaches contribute to increasing the efficiency of human resources management, optimising the processes of planning and personnel distribution, as well as developing personnel development strategies taking into account modern challenges. Enterprises, industry associations and government agencies to form employment policies, modernise the system of training specialists and improve employee motivation mechanisms can use the results obtained.
